Escape Beach Resort
Koh Samui
Reseñas
Arrived in a nice resort. Not 5 starts but doesn’t need to be. Clean rooms. A bit of splash on the shower. Helpful staff with earlier check in, nice breakfast for the price, great cocktails and amazing food. Will need some form of transportation. Since it’s a bit of a steep hill, but can definitely recommend. Nice strip of sand and pool is not big but we had place everyday in July.
I wouldn't say the room was dirty. The bed linens were clean, and although the towels were quite old and fraying at the edges, they were clean as well. However, the flooring is PVC and appears to have suffered water damage over time, causing it to peel or shift in certain spots. Dining & Facilities: The breakfast was excellent—very plentiful with a wide variety of options. We didn't feel like anything was missing. I also really enjoyed the hotel pool, though the seating area around it felt a bit crowded. One of the highlights was the lovely direct access down to the sea, which I liked very much. Location & Transport: The hotel is a bit secluded. Relying on taxis can get expensive quickly. We looked into renting a scooter directly from the hotel, but the daily rate and the required deposit were both very high. After walking just a few minutes away from the property, we were able to find a better scooter for a much lower price. I assume the higher-tier rooms are better maintained than the entry-level ones. That said, considering the low price we paid, the stay provided fair value. It is a functional choice if you are looking to save money, provided you are okay with a very basic room.
We had a really nice stay at the resort. Staff is very friendly and resort is beautiful. The breakfast and restaurant are also very good and the service there is excellent. Note: the resort does not have direct access to the beach if the tide is out. However, you can go to the beach near the W. Also, the laundry service that the hotel offers is crazy expensive. You're better of going to a local laundry service.
