Visited for a short 3 days stay, and the resort and staff exceeded my expectations. Check-in was prompt, and Bill and Mary at reception were so friendly and knowledgeable when introducing the resort and available activities. I was also given a free upgrade to the Five Islands room, and it was beautiful. The view was amazing, room was spacious, and the water in the private pool always cool and perfect for a soak. Housekeeping kept the room spotless, and the turn-down service included yummy cookies and a really cute handmade mini turtle plushie. It was such a peaceful retreat and I’m already planning my next trip back. Thank you to everyone at Conrad Koh Samui for making it such a wonderful stay!
One of the most beautuful hotels weve ever stayed. I would rate 4.5 stars⭐️ Thank you all for an amazing week at Conrad. We really hope we’ll get the chance to come back someday. Here are a few things that might be helpful if you’re thinking about booking this hotel: * The hotel is quite far from everything, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It really depends on what you’re looking for. We’ve stayed on the other side of Samui before, where there are plenty of restaurants, shops and nightlife. This time, we actually preferred the quieter side of the island where “nothing” really happens. It feels much more authentic, almost jungle, with stunning scenery, lovely little local restaurants, and beautiful roads to explore by scooter. It feels like paradise. The other side of the island is much more built up and city vibe, in our opinion, nowhere near as beautiful. * The villas have amazing private pools, so we didnt need to use the main pool. The bed was super comfortable and the room itself was excellent. The only thing I missed was a makeup mirror in the bathroom (it looks like the larger villas have one) * Even though the hotel is surrounded by nature, they’ve done an amazing job with pest control. We didn’t see a single mosquito anywhere on the hotel grounds during our stay. * The food at the hotel’s restaurants was delicious, and the service was always warm and friendly. Breakfast was excellent as well. There are also several great local restaurants and a 7 eleven just short scooter or taxi ride away. * The gym is very good, and outside you’ll also find facilities for activities like badminton and table tennis. Cons: * One thing I’d do differently next time is book through the American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts program. That way you would get late check-out if you have an evening flight. We booked directly through the hotel and even if having diamond status, we weren’t able to get a late checkout. * One thing that disappointed us was that the hotel didn’t let us know in advance that there would be a wedding during our stay. We booked only about a week before arriving, so the hotel would have known about the event, and it would have been thoughtful to mention it beforehand. Our villa was right next to the wedding venue, and unfortunately the noise completely ruined one of our vacation days. We had planned to spend a relaxing day at our villa, but instead we ended up leaving the hotel because the music and celebrations were simply too loud. * Housekeeping was sometimes late, around sunset time. After spending the day out, it would have been nice to come back to a cleaned room to shower and get ready for dinner. That said, it may have been due to the extra workload caused by the wedding because it was around those days
The staff were consistently warm and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. A special mention goes to New, who assisted us during check-in, she was truly a gem and set the tone with her friendliness and professionalism. The resort itself shows signs of age, though it remains well maintained. Bug control was handled fairly well, which is commendable given the tropical setting. However, the buggy service was a serious downside. Since the resort requires buggies to move around, delays of up to 20 minutes were frustrating, especially when sometimes they arrived within 2 minutes. This inconsistency clearly reflects a management issue. During peak periods, staff should set clearer expectations, advising guests to expect 15 minutes rather than 5–10 would help avoid disappointment. These delays impacted our schedules more than once. The floating breakfast was another letdown. It felt overpriced, especially when compared to the excellent quality of breakfast served at the restaurant. The floating option simply didn’t match the same high standard. Overall, the resort has a wonderful vibe and atmosphere, and we would consider returning, but only after a deeper innovation and improvement in operations, particularly around transportation and guest experience management.
We stayed at the Conrad Koh Samui for 3 nights at the beginning of the month and decided to extend another 3 nights because of the exceptional hospitality, service, accommodations, and amazing view of the Five Island. The staff member New took care of us throughout our stay and made it extra special as we were celebrating an anniversary! Additionally, Grace showed wonderful hospitality both while delivering a floating lunch as well as during breakfast as he dealt with our many coffee and tea orders (we wanted to try everything ☺️). Many thanks to the rest of the hotel staff and we would gladly return, hopefully sooner rather than later!
We had an amazing stay at Conrad Koh Samui for our honeymoon. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Special thanks to Jiaping for the warm and thoughtful assistance before our arrival. And MANY THANKS to Bill and Malvin at our check in and during our stay. They were all incredibly professional, attentive, and always went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect for us. The resort itself is stunning. The villas are beautifully maintained, the facilities are in excellent condition, and the ocean views are simply breathtaking. The breakfast selection was also extensive and delicious. Thank you to the entire Conrad Koh Samui team for making our stay so memorable.
