Stayed at one of their villas for 4 days and wish we could've stayed longer! Firstly the staff have been absolutely fantastic and helpful! We communicated through an app that allows us to let them know if there are anything we need (housekeeping, maintenance, booking transfers, etc.) Room itself was wonderful and have the usual amenities, the views and access to the beach was great! It was so nice waking up to it. I do have to mention the shower is a bit slow to drain but it is spacious. Breakfast was a bit more ala carte but can be a bit repetitive if you stay longer. Dinners have great choices for food and drinks! And they have entertainment during certain days of the week. Gym is a bit sparse and their yoga classes are only twice a week - but their spa makes up for it. They offer services for face and body.
Cannot fault this place! We had an amazing time and we were worried that it would be just another resort and thankfully it isn't. We had our own plunge pool that was very refreshing and the hotel villas are very well equipped. The food was great and the cocktails were sublime! We swam in the pool and it was nice and clean. The staff went out of their way to help us anyway they could, particularly when one of our flights got cancelled. We would definitely stay here again!
My stay at SAii Koh Samui was honestly one of those trips that made me slow down and truly enjoy doing… nothing at all 🌴✨ This time, I stayed in the Pool Villa (the entry room type) for 2 nights, and surprisingly, I barely left the resort because everything I needed for a relaxing getaway was already there. The room felt complete and comfortable, and what made the stay even more special was the thoughtful birthday decoration prepared for us plus a cute mini cake waiting in the room 🎂💛 Such a lovely touch that made the celebration feel extra memorable. One of my favorite parts was being able to step right outside and jump straight into the pool. The whole atmosphere was surrounded by greenery, giving a peaceful and private feeling throughout the stay 🌿💦 The common areas were equally beautiful especially the swimming pool and Beach Bar where you could sit back, relax, and enjoy the sea view with no rush at all 🍹🌊 Breakfast here was served à la carte, and I really liked that we could continue ordering and trying different dishes. The breakfast team provided excellent service attentive, welcoming, and always checking if we wanted anything else, which made every morning feel warm and comfortable ☀️🍳 For activities, the resort also offers kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, which is a nice bonus for guests who want to stay active 🚣♂️🏄♂️ The location is beachfront, although there are quite a few rocks and the sand isn’t extremely soft — but the beach itself is long, spacious, and feels pleasantly private. Another convenient thing is that there’s a 7-Eleven right outside near the main road, and you can easily order delivery to the resort too 🛵✨ Lastly, I would love to give a special compliment to Ms. Mean at the front desk 🤍 She truly has great service mind. From the warm welcome, remembering that we were celebrating a birthday, greeting us whenever we passed by the lobby, and always being ready to help it made a difference. I also appreciated that guests could request assistance easily through the SAii Hotel app chat, which made everything even smoother. Thank you for such a wonderful trip in Koh Samui 🌴💙 This return visit reminded me why I loved staying here before… and I’m sure I’ll be coming back again.
Koh Samui Saii Villas is one of those places where you can clearly see the potential, which is why some parts of the stay ended up being frustrating. The staff were honestly exceptional from start to finish — warm, friendly, and always trying to help. It genuinely felt like they cared about guests and wanted the resort to improve. The food and beverage manager especially stood out because he seemed personally invested in making everyone’s stay as good as possible, and that level of effort deserves recognition. The villas themselves are spacious and the resort has a peaceful, private atmosphere, but it still lacks the refined touches you expect from a luxury villa resort. We upgraded to a larger pool villa expecting complete privacy and a polished five-star feel, but there were several things that took away from that experience. A generator sat directly in front of our pool and garden area, and another villa overlooked part of the outdoor space. It may sound minor, but when you’re paying for luxury and exclusivity, these details really matter. Maintenance and presentation also need improving. Little things kept standing out, such as lawns being cut around the sunbeds rather than underneath them, roofs looking dirty, and our pool turning green one morning. None of these issues were disastrous on their own, but together they slowly removed that premium feeling the resort is aiming for. The beachfront was another missed opportunity. The scenery is beautiful, but the beach itself could be cleaned and maintained better. The biggest issue was access to the sea — the shoreline is so rocky that getting into the water is extremely difficult. A simple cleared pathway or small jetty into the sea would transform the experience and make the beachfront far more usable for guests. The biggest let-down, however, was the food. One evening I ordered prawns that were clearly off and had to send them back, which completely put me off seafood for the rest of the holiday. The lamb chops and steak were frozen, breakfast items often seemed reused from previous days, and the overall quality simply didn’t match the prices being charged. We regularly found ourselves leaving the resort for dinner because nearby restaurants offered much fresher and better food for a fraction of the price. The wine list was also surprisingly limited for a resort positioning itself as luxury. What makes this review difficult is that the staff really did try their best throughout our stay. Nothing felt intentionally careless — it felt more like a resort that hasn’t quite perfected the details yet. With better quality control, fresher food, improved maintenance, and some investment into the beachfront, this place could become genuinely special because the people working there clearly care deeply about making it succeed.
We stayed at this resort for our first stop in Thailand with the intention of having a quiet, relaxing place to get over jet lag. This was exactly what we needed. The room was comfortable and the daily cleaning was timely. The grounds were well kept with beautiful landscaping The breakfast was delicious and varied, the drinks were well made and well priced. We had dinner there for 2 nights and throughly enjoyed it. The staff was always friendly and welcoming. The only con I would say is the beach, it’s rocky and made it barely possible to enjoy a swim to cool off. This is hardly something they can control, but if you want a resort with a swimmable beach, it’s not this one. Overall we loved our stay and would recommend it to another couple for a relaxing stay
