Choeng Mon Beach
Kohsamui

Great beach. Lovely white sand and the sea gets gradually deeper so great place for children and adults who can find their level and swim there. Good selection of options for food to cater for most budgets. Melia Hotel Samui a five star luxury brand sits back from the beach with a pool and beach club. They tend to look after their premises and hence it’s a great beach that everyone else can enjoy. Worth a visit.
Amazing Beach and so quiet and cosy. The Water is perfect, also for children and non swimmer. Finest White caribic Sand and turquise water. The most of the Bars and Restaurants have perfect sunbeds and umbrellas. So one of the best beaches also because of the amazing view to the luxury Hotel on the close Island.
My wife and I have been travelling to Samui and CM Beach in particular, since the mid 90's and although bars and restaurants have come and gone (I still mourn the loss of Otto's) the general feel of the place hasn't changed. This is a lovely curved bay about 1.5KM long with relatively shallow water quite a long way out so it is great for kids. Not too many likely lads with jet skis and there are low rise hotels and beach huts to suit all pockets. The main road has begun to come back to life again with Thai, Italian and artisan restaurants abounding. 10 minutes from Chaweng by car but a different world.
Lovely beach for kids, mixture of soft sand and shell/coral but mostly soft sand. Went two days in a row in the end. Sun beds owned by restaurants are 'free' with at least one round of drinks ordered which i don't think is unfair. My 3 kids (7, 5 and 2) loved it.
Lovey beach with a lot of bars and restaurants around, you pay a token amount for sun beds or beanbags. There’s a really interesting wave pattern when waves come in from both sides of the small island and cross, this I think may have created the sand bar at the beach. The seabed is mostly smooth sand but watch for occasional rocks. We walked across to the private island about 100M across the water.
