This was a great resort. The property itself was immaculate. ( sorry no pictures) It had two nice pools, located on the beach, and the restaurants were amazing. I actually joined them for the Thursday steak night dinner outside and it was quite an enjoyable set up. The lush landscape around each villa gave it a very secluded feeling. My room was spacious and had its own plunge pool. Always kept clean by housekeeping. The only negative was there was a room above so the plunge pool was not as private as I expected. The location within Lamai was awesome as well. A short 50m walk to the night market and another 100m to the central area for bars. Along the way there were plenty of shops and places for massage. If you wanted to venture out to Chaweng or other areas, it got a little pricey using Grab or the Red Truck (cheapest option), but renting a motorbike was even cheaper. I would 100% recommend this property. Great location, great value and great service.
The hotel is amazing, all staff is very attentive and friendly. The beach, the sea, location are perfect. Both pools are just great! We had pool plunge suite which was very nice and cosy with one minor thing - the WC flash didn’t work properly and we had to use WC in another suite:) the shower should be also renovated. A few things to improve- sunbeds on the beach are quite uncomfortable and old. Breakfast is good, but would be nice to have wider juice-bar (including vegetables juices) and cheese & ham plates should be stored at least on the ice. The breakfast area is ok but it was lack of fans and not very cosy. Anyway we would definitely come back again!)
Terrific stay at Pavilion and highly recommend. The resort was very clean, and the staff went above and beyond. Such hard working people too. Thank you for your amazing services. I especially loved the pools and beach. They had a security guard too so I had no worries of my stuff getting stolen while I was swimming. My only con was that one staff member who always poked so unhappy whenever I saw him, especially on the steak night event on Thursday’s. I had taken a look at the meats they had laid out on display but noticed the rib eye had run out so I said “no more ribeye”? There were three staff members anroind the grill and he yelled out with an angry tone “Coming, wait!). I just looked at him and left to my table. The rest of the time he avoided our table and instead the older gentleman Thandi helped us. He was amazing. So attentive and knew what we needed even before we did lol. This hardworking man deserves a huge kudos. He made the stay more memorable. Thank you Thandi.
Just stayed at this resort earlier this May, and it was such a private, lush, and cozy getaway. We stayed in a massive 2-story Family Pool Villa right by the beach, the views every morning and evening were incredibly relaxing. It comes with a private pool right out front and a jacuzzi on the second floor. I honestly didn't want to go home! The room was super comfortable, the breakfast buffet had an amazing variety, and the staff took such great care of us. It’s absolutely worth the money. Highly recommended!
I stayed at Pavilion Samui Villas & Resort and while the hotel has some clear advantages, the overall experience didn’t quite match expectations. The biggest highlight is definitely the location – very central, convenient, and right next to a lively night market with plenty of food and shopping options. It’s hard to beat in that sense. The hotel itself looks nice at first glance, but the maintenance level is not what you would expect from a hotel in this price range. There were several noticeable cleanliness issues and areas that felt neglected. Pool service was underwhelming – staff response times were slow, and it didn’t feel aligned with the standard the hotel aims to present. Breakfast was decent and tasty, but quite basic and repetitive, especially for a longer stay. The most disappointing moment, however, was being charged 300 baht for a lost room key. After staying in many hotels around the world, this was a first – and for a hotel at this price point, it felt unnecessary and a bit petty. Overall, the location is excellent, but there are likely better value-for-money options in the area.
