We booked the spa promotion of massage and facial, unfortunately I was given a trainee and the massage wasn’t good at all. They were very apologetic and offered me a complimentary massage the next day but we were leaving. My wife enjoyed her experience so I guess it was just bad luck on my part. I’m sure the standards are usually very high as the spa itself is very luxurious
During our time at Explorar we had two couple's spa days, and a facial. All were absolutely incredible experiences; the body scrub & wrap were amazing though! Maya and Nee were both amazing, and made us feel completely relaxed and looked after. Highly recommend for a proper treat.
During my stay at Explorar Koh Samui, I visited their in house spa & massage center and had one of the most comforting massages I’ve had. The space is clean and comfortable. The full-body massage was carried out by experienced therapist and from start to finish, the experience felt deliberate and caring. The welcome drink and waiting lounge eased me in, and the therapist asked some questions regarding past medical history to check in. During the session, she paused to ask if the pressure was right, adjusted accordingly, and included some shoulder/back focus which is exactly what I needed for my retreat. She used a Tibetan Bell (I wasn’t sure) but the sound was comforting and it allowed my body to relax fully. Overall, this is a high standard of massage service that exceeded many comparable experiences in Thailand.
