A visit to an old shophouse includes sampling chiang-chun herbal liquor, a botanical drink favored by local fishermen for over a century. Next, you will immerse yourself in the lively Nathon Night Market, tasting chewy chive cakes, fish curry custard (hor mok pla) steamed in banana leaves, and fresh sugar cane juice. Additional stops include Northern Thai laap chicken and a fermented deep-fried papaya salad.
