PADI Open Water Diver Course on Koh Samui – 3-Day Certification Suitable for Beginners Aged 10+
This 3-day PADI Open Water Diver Course on Koh Samui certifies you to dive worldwide up to 18 metres, ideal for beginners and those new to scuba diving.
Course Overview
The course includes online theory, confined water pool training, and four open water dives around Koh Tao and Sail Rock in the Gulf of Thailand. You must complete PADI eLearning before arrival, allowing flexible study on your device.
Day 1 – Pool Training
After hotel pickup, you’ll meet your instructor and complete required forms. Pool training begins with a swim assessment and survival float, followed by practicing essential scuba skills under instructor guidance to build confidence for open water dives.
Day 2 – First Open Water Dives
Travel by boat to dive sites near Koh Tao or Sail Rock for your first two open water dives to a maximum depth of 12 metres. Between dives, enjoy a Thai buffet lunch onboard, with vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-friendly options available when requested. Drinking water and soft drinks are provided. Return transfers to Koh Samui hotels included.
Day 3 – Final Certification Dives
Complete two additional open water dives reaching 18 metres. Upon successful completion, you will receive your PADI Open Water Diver certification, enabling you to dive worldwide. Transport returns you to your hotel in Koh Samui.
