The room was nice and staff is very accomodating--whatever you need, they help you with. I booked a tour of the marine park through the lobby booth the night before and expected to pay a premium, but it was actually a discounted rate. The included breakfast was good, lots of options. I had one lunch at the hotel restaurant, which was a little pricier but tasted better than expected. After visiting my friend's resort which was full of kids, the "adult only" aspect of this hotel is really nice if you're traveling alone or as a couple--much more peaceful. Chaweng Beach road is really touristy, but convenient for finding a quick bite, massage, 7-11, etc. Plan to drive or take a cab to other parts of the island to get out of the tourist environment. I used the airport shuttle an early flight, and check out was efficient. All in all, would recommend this hotel and would stay again if I return to Koh Samui.
We stayed at Dara Samui for 13 nights and truly cannot fault a single thing — it was an absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. The hotel has the feel of a small, intimate boutique property, and the style and design throughout are genuinely special — elegant, unique, and full of character. What stood out most, though, was the staff. I have honestly never encountered a team so warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The level of service here is in a league of its own. Breakfast was delicious and varied every day, and our room was beautifully appointed. We will absolutely be coming back, and we recommend this hotel without any hesitation. A hidden gem — don't miss it!
Stayed at Dara Samui and honestly, it exceeded expectations on every level. The property itself is beautiful, very well maintained, and has that perfect mix of comfort and tropical luxury. The location is a huge plus — right in Chaweng, so everything from restaurants to nightlife is super accessible, but still peaceful enough to relax when you want to unwind. What really made the experience special though was the staff. Everyone was incredibly warm and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. A special mention to Nam — such a genuinely kind and sweet person who made our stay even more memorable with her hospitality. We were also lucky enough to receive a complimentary upgrade to a villa, which completely elevated the experience. The villa was spacious, private, and just perfect for a relaxing getaway. Overall, amazing stay, amazing people, and definitely a place I’d come back to.
I really have to say, I’ve already stayed in many hotels across different countries, but this was by far the best hotel in terms of service and food. I had one of the top three dishes I’ve ever eaten here — the Phat Thai with beef and chicken was absolutely incredible. The hotel is located right at the beginning of the promenade and offers a beautiful atmosphere throughout the entire resort. The staff — especially at the pool bar — were outstanding: always friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. Every evening, there was a beautiful candlelight dinner setup directly on the beach, where you could enjoy dinner while listening to the sound of the sea beneath your feet — a truly unique experience. Chaweng Beach itself is also absolutely stunning. I’m genuinely sad that I couldn’t stay longer, but I will definitely come back — that’s a promise!
The Dara Samui Hotel is right at the entrance of the party area on Chaweng Beach, so you can be in the middle of the action in 5 to 10 minutes. The property is not the newest, but very well kept. Rooms are very clean, with big showers and large bathrooms. The staff is super friendly, always helpful, and cheerful. The beach is a bit small but still clean and with a nice view and invited you for long walks around the shore. The whole place is quiet, not noisy. The pool area is lovely, with a top level ocean view from where you can look down at the beach area - extra plus for the nice wide view. One thing to know: it’s under a flight path, so you can hear planes maybe 6 to 12 times a day. But it starts in the morning and stops around 8 or 9 PM. Honestly, after a couple of days, we barely noticed, and it’s cool to watch them. Overall, we are super happy: great value for money, breakfast was good, had all we needed—we didn’t need 30 kinds of toast and Jogurts. Variety is on spot. It was perfect for us! We have been here from end april to first half of may 2026
