**Overpriced for what you get** Expensive for what it actually offers, with a few real problems. The cheapest rooms have **no air conditioning** — in this heat and humidity that's close to unusable, and the AC rooms cost significantly more. The listing doesn't make this clear enough. The airport is minutes away, so you hear **planes passing constantly**, all day long. Not mentioned anywhere. Worst of all, the **bathroom is badly built**: no proper shower separation, so the whole floor floods every time you wash and you spend the rest of the day walking on wet tiles. The lighting is terrible too. It's a design flaw, not something reception can fix. Good location and friendly staff, but not enough to justify the price.

Eh. This place was just fine. The cheapest room is only $25USD per night, you definitely get what you pay for. If you book the cheapest room, be aware that it doesn’t have AC. I didn’t look carefully enough when I was booking, that was my fault. But Koh Samui is insanely hot and humid and it was a very uncomfortably hot night with no AC. The room wasn’t that clean - the bathroom was pretty dirty and there was a stain on the sheets even though the bed appeared to be freshly made. For only $25 USD I can’t really be mad, but I probably would have shelled out a few more dollars if I had known what I was getting into. I will say, all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They picked me up from the airport and dropped me off at my ferry station at the end of my stay for only a small added fee, and helped me with all of my baggage.

Best value you can find on this island for a hotel. The location is great and the rooms are impressive. The view into the ocean is phenomenal and the pool was the perfect temperate. Not everything is perfect but mainly average to above average on all hotel things and then add in the cost and view/location, it’s the best! Pros: -Value -ocean view -big beds -friendly staff -location Areas for improvement: -lukewarm (at best) hot water -very light on toiletries (toilet paper, shampoo, gel, no hand soap, etc) -actual lock and key. Not key cards. Overall we will stay here again and recommend it!

We recently stayed at Mermaid Resort in Koh Samui. The bed was comfortable and clean, the pool area was lovely, and the staff provided great service. However, there were several issues that affected our stay. The room had a lingering odor, the chairs and small couch in front of the bed had visible stains, and the bathroom sinks were not very clean. There was no laundry service, and the beach towels provided still had some spots despite being washed. The resort’s layout gives the feeling of being surrounded, like a fish in an aquarium, so for privacy, you need to keep the blinds closed, which makes the room quite dark. The location is convenient for the ferry and the airport, but not much else. We booked last minute during a change of plans and paid €100 for the junior sea view room. For what the resort offers, this felt too expensive. A rate around €50-60 per night would feel more reasonable. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, and my boyfriend enjoyed it more than I did. While we appreciated the friendly staff and pleasant pool, we wouldn’t return due to the privacy issues, room cleanliness, and the price.
