It’s a good stay overall- budget friendly luxury boutique resort. Location is extremely close to fisherman’s village which means you have a lot to explore around. It is a well maintained property. Food was good but there are amazing options around the place to explore! Pool was a little smaller than expected and felt a bit crowded overall during busy times. Lost some stuff in the room while checking out- nobody reached out if anything was found- specially a gold plated bracelet. Had informed the staff regarding the air conditioning issues a total of 3 times but it wasn’t taken seriously by the lady at the front desk- thus resulting in a few bad sleepless nights- we were told to make changes to the temperature and it shall work, yet it did not and a few times ice fell on the face of one sleeping underneath it. Mixed feelings about the stay. Cost to value proposition is lower than expectations but it’s a comfortable stay overall with a magnificent location.

A huge thank you to Zaw and Marla, who provide some of the best service we’ve experienced anywhere on the island. They’re always so friendly, attentive, and genuinely make everyone feel at home. The owners have created something truly special. Their passion and attention to detail shine through in every aspect of the experience. If you’re in Koh Samui, whether you’re staying at the cottages or simply looking for an amazing place to eat and relax, The Deck Cottages is an absolute must-visit. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.
Absolutely the best bungalow I’ve stayed at on the island! Everything was perfect—from the spotless rooms to the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The place is beautifully maintained, clean, and comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island. I would definitely stay here again!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Deck Cottages in Koh Samui. From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond by allowing us to check in early at 8:30am. The rooms are beautifully styled, incredibly comfortable, and spotlessly clean. In fact, the entire property is impeccably maintained and has such a relaxing, boutique feel. The staff were genuinely warm and friendly throughout our stay and made us feel so welcome. The location is also fantastic, just a short walk to the Fisherman's Village night markets and all the restaurants and shops, yet tucked just off the main drag so it feels quiet and peaceful. The breakfast each morning was delicious, and the pool area was the perfect place to unwind. Every detail of our stay exceeded expectations, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Deck Cottages to anyone visiting Koh Samui.
I am lucky enough to travel regularly and my recent stay at The Deck Cottages will be one of my more memorable experiences. From pre arrival to post departure Alex and the Deck team could not have done more to ensure my stay was perfect. Every team member I dealt with was friendly and helpful - reception, bar, housekeeping and the groundsmen. Transfers were organised, massages booked, room deliveries, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms and public areas are beautifully appointed - very bohemian with careful consideration for lighting. The daily service of my room was exceptional and prompt, and the overall property cleanliness was also exceptional (we had a huge storm one evening which made quite a mess, all spic and span by wake up time). The location was perfect, just on the edge of Fisherman’s Walk, so lovely and quiet but close to the walking street, bars and restaurants. I was also travelling mainly solo, I had close friends at another property for a few nights. To feel secure, relaxed and familiar while staying on your own overseas is always important and The Deck team certainly made this happen. Thank you Alex and your team for such a lovely stay.
