We spent a lovely evening here. The fire show was the highlight—very professional, with fireworks at the end. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The drink menu was excellent, offering a wide range of choices from cocktails to local beers. I especially loved the seating arrangement, designed like lotus leaves on the water—it created such a unique and relaxing atmosphere. The night view was absolutely breathtaking. I had one of the most wonderful birthday celebrations here. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Koh Samui.
We came to the W Hotel's Woobar and Namu Restaurant for my partner's birthday as they looked rather special. We started, at the Woobar bar, up on the hillside, overlooking the sea - a wonderfully situated bar, with stunning views. The cocktail menu had a good selection of classics and signatures. I tried a classic Margarita and one of their specials Thai Mai. Both very well done. This was a really nice start to the evening apart from the atmosphere-wrecking music! Awful. We absolutely hate this trend of taking a breathtaking setting—like the Woobar’s spectacular view—and drowning it in the same mind‑numbing, over‑amped beat for hours. Lucky us! We even had a DJ… though I’m not sure why, since absolutely nothing changed in the hour we were there. I thought a DJ's was to match music to the atmosphere and audience. He was absolutely useless. The place was almost deserted. Maybe it was this awful, ambience-wrecking cocophony. Restaurants and bars, please: look at your surroundings, look at your guests, and maybe—just maybe—pick music that reflects your special place, and doesn't sound like a car alarm having an existential crisis. We wouldn't sit here again being assaulted by this terrible, mindless cocophony, despite the fabulous view.
