Just a couple of kilometres south of Chaweng, in Chaweng Noi, is the Impiana Resorti. Smart and luxurious without being formal and stuffy. And it's that friendly-yet-professional theme that runs throughout the complete resort, being especially apparent in its beautiful beachfront restaurant - Sabai.
If you arrive in the daytime for lunch or an afternoon snack, you'll be please to learn that all the resort's facilities are available for use by nonresidents too. And that not only includes the pool, but also Samui's first fullystocked 'floating bar', complete with elegant 'cube' seating and comfy beanbags, which is anchored 20 metres out from the shore.
Unlike most of the other fine-dining restaurants on the island, the menu at Sabai offers both International and Thai cuisine. And in addition to Sabai's full à la carte menu, there's a different theme buffet every night of the week.
It would be hard to find a better restaurant than Sabai on Samui that offers such a variety of theme nights and International and Thai cuisine at this level. Not only is the food truly first-class, the staff outstanding and the restaurant very comfortable but it's a great place to chill-out in the daytime, too.
