Samui Bike Week

Samui Bike Week is an event that began in 2009 to bring riders together, meet new friends, parade around the island and have a party. The event was also created to make people aware of the importance of wearing a helmet while riding a bike. All proceeds from the event are dedicated to charity.

Bikers travel from all corners of the globe to join this annual event.

We managed to enter our bike in the tour of the island, and were able to photopgraph some interesting 2 and 3 wheeled machines of all sizes and styles. It was a fun ride with hundreds of bikes thundering around the island in unison without obstruction.

When you hear a loud bike coming down the street you might think it is all for show, but this helmet sticker does have a lot of truth in it. If they can't see you, they will hear you.

Everybody lining up and excited for the start at Chaweng Lake.

The number 1 bike for riders in the parade, the world famous machine definitely outnumbered most brands.

This has to be one of the coolest Police motorcycles on the road, yes it is a Harley. Street Glide.

2 cool dudes on their 3 wheel flaming monster tric.

These cool little bikes are perfect for getting about on Samui. Don't be fooled by their size, they can really move.

The true artistic flair that is a natural talent for many Thai people is brought to life in these 2 customized American style choppers.

Another stylish Amercian chopper. Notice the small fuel tank, not built for practical use but nice to look at. This one needed a push start to get moving.

As we said, all shapes and sizes, everyone welcome!

At the halfway point of the ride, everyone linned up for free lunch at the Nathon Pier.

Another crazy tric, actually it has 5 wheels!

Riding can be fun no matter what your taste in machine.

A classic Tiger with sidecar.

The big toy machines leading the ride through Bang Por.

These are only a few photos we took that day, you will find the full album on our Facebook page - Samui Bike Week 2012!
