Chaweng Noi Beach
Kohsamui
Beaches
Separated from the southern end of Chaweng Beach by a rocky headland is Chaweng Noi Beach, a super chilled location away from its busier neighbour.
Chaweng Noi could be considered one of the more exclusive beaches on Koh Samui; for the most part it is high-end resorts and villas. There's little in the way of independent bars and restaurants, although you will find one or two. Of course you can always enjoy the beachside cuisine and service of the hotels, there are plenty to choose from.
The sand for the most part is soft, white and the water turquoise blue. The sea here is irresistibly inviting but please be aware at certain times of the year (January to April) there are under currents along the beach. Take heed of the flag warning systems in use on the beach.
Head out of the south end of Chaweng and turn left on the ring road towards Lamai, Chaweng Noi is immediately on your left. Not accessible from the main road you'll need to enter through one of the resorts on the ring road. The Fair House Beach Resort has access; it's a fair hike downhill from the main road, but you can always hitch a ride on the hotel buggy on your way back. If you're on a scooter you can take it down within about 50 metres of the beach.
