Mountain Grand View is a beautiful peaceful spot away from the tourist hubs, here you can experience a different side of Koh Samui.
The viewpoint is at the Seaview restaurant and costs 20 Baht to park and visit the view. We'd recommend you relax and have a bite to eat while you are there. The restaurant is relatively new, it's well laid out, the food is great, reasonably priced, and the ambience sets the mood perfectly.
You can have lunch or drinks in your own private pagoda overlooking wild jungle covered mountains, with the Five Islands off Taling Ngam in the distance. Anywhere else in the world this would cost you a small fortune, in Samui it's a steal!
If you fancy cooling off there's an infinity swimming pool to enjoy the view from. It will set you back 100 baht per person if you wish to indulge.
To get there, take the road opposite the Mummified Monk at Wat Khunaram and head straight up the mountain and follow the signs. If you are traveling by scooter, please be aware the road is steep and not really for novice riders. Otherwise, most hotels can organize a tour for you.
While you are up there, Tarnim Magic Garden is just next-door and is definitely worth visiting.
