Amazing! The food was delicious,, high-quality ingredients, and every dish was full of flavor. The service was warm, friendlt and professional. A special thank you to the chef, who came to our table to greet us personally. Really recommended 👏👏👏
Cafe 69 was hands down one of the best meals we had in Koh Samui. We started with the Green Curry Chicken Pie, Red Curry Dumplings and Tuna Tartare, and every dish was incredible. The Green Curry Pie in particular was something I’ve never had before and absolutely loved. For mains, the Soft Shell Crab in Black Pepper Sauce was a standout, but the Kao Soi Grilled River Prawn stole the show. The flavours were unreal and the presentation was stunning. What I loved most was how creative the menu is while still feeling authentic and packed with flavour. You can tell a lot of thought goes into every dish. Great service, great atmosphere and food that genuinely lives up to the hype. Easily a 10/10 meal.
We had the most incredible dining experience at Cafe69, and it’s safe to say this place is truly one of a kind. Tucked away in Smaui, this Thai fusion restaurant is doing something really special - taking the bold, vibrant flavours of Thai cuisine and reimagining them through a modern kitchen lens. The result? Absolutely outstanding.
I'd seen so many great reviews of this restaurant so we had to pay a visit. It was absolutely sweltering outside so it was lovely to sit indoors in the air conditioned cool. The food is Thai, with a really interesting fusion twist and Chef Vivien has it absolutely spot on here. We had tuna tartare, tom yum cones, soft shell crab with papaya salad in summer rolls, and the legendary green curry chicken puffs. Everything was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. We finished our meal with a mango sticky rice inspired crème brûlée that was so tasty I'm going to have to try to recreate it when we get home. It was an absolute show stopper! The decor is bold and eclectic, right down to the leopard print table cloths, my wife and I had a table for three, sharing it with a massive teddy bear that she absolutely adored. Chef Vivien is an absolute star who makes sure your whole experience is one to remember, his warmth and hospitality was perfect. We'd definitely come back here in a heartbeat!
Bizarre décor in the best possible way. I loved the feather lamp, leopard tablecloths, teddy bears, neon lights, and sequin pillows - truly over the top, and really fun! The service was great. We were warmly greeted (I assume by the owner), who was absolutely lovely and managed to squeeze us in despite not having booked ahead. Place was popular. The food was amazing. We started with tuna tartare, tom yum cones, and pomelo salad. Definitely try the pomelo salad, it was my favorite. The flavors were spot on, as was the presentation. For the main, we had the khao soi. Delicious! Dessert was mango sticky rice brûlée. Good, though not the highlight. The coconut ice cream was topped with edible gold - a little extra, just like the venue, and the perfect finishing touch! All in all, a wonderful experience. Can truly recommend.
