My girlfriend (French) and I (Norwegian) wanted a calm yet special dinner evening for New Years Eve 2025, and we had seen signs to The Budoir as it is close to where we live in Mae nam. We booked a table, and discovered what a wonderful oasis of french delicacy this is, hidden between trees and away from the road. Lit up with serene and atmospheric lights and decorations giving it an exotic feel of south france, north africa and also asia, we were already convinced when entering. The very friendly french owner greeted us, explained the menu and recommended a great tasting bottle of red wine. The three course dinner was delicious. Loved the foie gras especially, though the menu changes frequently to keep it exciting coming back. High quality food and being a special occasion, the price is worth it, although it is in the upper tier compared to thai food, which is expected. I can fully recommend this restaurant for an authentic and exciting french food experience, with an owner and a chief who knows what they want to present and how to present it :)
Hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Super nice owner who’s very welcoming and also helped my husband go withdraw cash. Food was really good and portions were big.
