When you journey into the culinary completeness in Chef Fabian's world it’s an all-encompassing and exquisite experience. Nestled in a verdant and palm-lined mountain precipe overlooking the surrounding emerald waters of Koh Samui, it summons a portal, like entering Capra's "Lost Horizon." The bracing scent of the Clandestino charmed bungalow, the smiling Chef, the hypnotic beats, and most significantly, the food, oh the food... The courses, these alchemistic dishes combine food ancestory of Europe, Asia, and beyond, a timeless culinary experience, at times a loss for words, a highly stimulating experience, orchestrated by Fabian, The Master Chef and talisman of the Clandestino journey. We thank you Fabian, from the center of our growing hearts.
One of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in Koh Samui. Clandestino is much more than just a restaurant, it’s a place where you can truly feel the passion behind every dish. Fabian personally makes you feel welcome, and his attention to detail is reflected in every plate. The menu is creative, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the atmosphere is intimate and relaxed. If you’re looking for an authentic culinary experience rather than just another dinner, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
Clandestino Koh Samui is an absolute gem and, without any doubt, the best restaurant experience in Koh Samui and by a very wide margin. Everything is homemade by the chef, with an incredible level of care, creativity, and attention to detail. Each dish feels thoughtful, refined, and deeply authentic, far beyond what you would expect on the island. The flavors are outstanding, the ingredients are top quality, and you can truly feel the passion behind every plate. More than just a meal, it’s a holistic experience: intimate, warm, and genuinely special. A place you don’t just “try once,” but one you remember as a highlight of your trip. If you are in Koh Samui and don’t go to Clandestino, you are missing something truly exceptional.
Hands down the best restaurant I’ve been to in Thailand. You can immediately tell it’s owner-managed, the passion and love for the place come through in everything. The beef was absolutely outstanding, and every single detail, from the food to the overall experience, is done with so much care and attention. Truly amazing.
Absolutely amazing. Fabien is an excellent chef and host and his little cozy living room vibes are just so special. We truly enjoyed a lovely ans delicious dinner. Innovative dishes and excellent flavors, a great music playlist, the cutest dogs and just great overall vibes. Highly recommend 👌
